Serving PreK - 5th grade

We are dedicated to providing single gender classes, quality instruction, individualization, and family/community involvement to ensure students' proficiency. Coral Community Charter School is New Mexico's first tuition-free public charter school, offering single-gender classes that serve both boys and girls.

                                                                            Our 4 Pillars:

Single Gender: We use researched strategies to meet the unique and individual needs of our students; research supports different strategies for the brains of children born male and children born female.

Quality Instruction: Curriculum that works and is enhanced and supplemented with meaningful and relevant learning experiences and targeted professional learning experiences.

Individualization: Every student is unique and different and has the right to be taught where they are now; supporting student/ family/ teacher interactions through developing a Personal Education Plan with targeted goals and evidence based instructional strategies ensures the tools and resources to teach each student.

Family and Community Involvement: Daily interaction, structured meeting times, coordinated efforts, and meaningful initiatives ensure student growth is supported, classroom experiences are engaging, and learning is relevant.

                                                                          #CoralQuality Team Members are:

  • Collaborative: We teach multi-age cohorts and provide core content lab times for student academic peers. Each week, teachers work with academy colleagues to build vertical alignment and with cohort peers to build horizontal alignment in their daily instruction.
  • Devoted: Our Educational Team is comprised of individuals who plan for meaningful and relevant instructional and are determined to see student growth.
  • Creative: All school employees are encouraged to build upon what works, bring innovation to the classroom, and enhance learning in a way that is valued and respected.
  • Persistent Learners: We tailor our professional learning to each educator’s needs, set goals, and share our learning.
